Rotational Coherence Times of Polar Molecules in Optical Tweezers

Qubit coherence times are critical to the performance of any robust quantum computing platform. For information processing using arrays polar molecules, a key parameter is molecular rotational time. We report 93(7) ms time for state qubits laser cooled CaF molecules in optical tweezer traps, over an order magnitude longer than previous systems. Inhomogeneous broadening due differential polarizability between qubit states suppressed by tuning polarization and applied magnetic field "magic" angle. The limited residual polarizability, implying improvement with further cooling. A single spin-echo pulse able extend nearly half second. measured demonstrate potential as high fidelity qubits.
